Dr. Daksha Bhatt , Ph.D. in 1977 in Plant Physiology, she carried out her post doctoral research at the USDA  VegetableBreeding Station in SC,  and as visiting scientist at the University of Kentucky in USA. With several years of academic research and teaching at the University, she decided to put her training to commercial advantage. She was instrumental in setting up and running the first indigenously built micropropagation laboratory , Unicorn Biotek Ltd.at Hyderabad. She is the co-promoter of Sun Agrigenetics and is Technical Director, heading the Research Unit.
