Dr. Prashant Bhatt received his Ph. D. in Botany in 1977 from Ahmedabad, India . He has a wide experience in the field of plant biotechnology doing post doctoral research at  prestigious Universities such as Yale and USDA, and an awardee of Senior Fulbright Fellowship from USEFI and Govt of India. After a brief stint of teaching and academic research also in India, he was instrumental in establishing the  first indigenous commercial micropropagation laboratory - Unicorn Biotek Ltd., later known as Godrej Plant Biotek Ltd., at Hyderabad  in 1989. In 1999 he set up his own venture, Sun Agrigenetics P. Ltd. in Vadodara, Gujarat.
